At Sessions Arts, we want to share that Spilsby Light Night will be taking a break this year.
This decision has been made because it was not possible to have the necessary funding in place to enable the delivery of the event on this occasion. While this is disappointing, we want to reassure our audiences, artists and partners that this pause is part of a wider and positive plan for the future of arts activity in Spilsby.
Our current focus is on the development and opening of Spilsby Sessions House as a major new arts and cultural venue, scheduled to open in 2027. As part of this exciting next chapter, we are aiming to incorporate elements of Spilsby Light Night into a launch event for the new venue, bringing back familiar creative highlights in a new and expanded way.
Alongside this, we are actively working to secure funding to enable a programme of local outdoor arts events in 2026, with activity planned to begin in late spring/early summer. This programme will continue our commitment to delivering accessible, high-quality arts experiences for the local community.
