1.   Picnic in the Park

Thank you letters have been sent to: Mr Bruce Knight, Spilsby Sessions House, Spilsby Scouts, Spilsby Christian Fellowship Church and Spilsby Rotary Club.

For assistance with the Beacon (2.6.22) a thank you letter has been sent to Charles Tong.

Ros and I also want to thank the Councillors that turn up and helped on the day. Your contributions have been well received.

Valuable lessons were learned from this event. Future events must be planned well in advance and robust systems put in place to ensure all projects run smoothly.

2.   Sixteen planters have been placed around the Town Centre.

These are being watered on a daily basis; however, local shop keepers need to be approached to assist with this.

3.   A new Strimmer has been purchased (£330.00) for the Allotment holders.

This follows on from the theft /burglary in December 2021. It is being stored in the Community Shed, which has now been re-enforced to deter future break-in’s.

4.   The Clerk’s attended a Zoom meeting with a company – Grant Advisor. The company has access to a wide range of funding sources, however an Annual Premium of £1,200.00 will need to be discussed at a Full Council Meeting in the future, pending further information.

5.   Pete Langford (LALC) is assisting us with the website. All documents have been converted from PDF to Word, coming into line with other councils. There is still more work to be completed.

6.   We have re-instated the Play Area inspection programme, following a break during the Covid outbreak.  This will be sent out by email to all councillors.

7.   The Finance and Policy Committee meeting was held on 9th June. After these minutes have been ratified, I will be able to submit the AGAR. Councillors asked for the internal control check to continue which Ros and I will do.

8.   Ros and I will take some time to organise the office over the next month. Filing older items as well as planning ahead for the rest of the year.

9.   Positive feedback from the Annual Town Meeting.

Suggestions such as a Councillors who’s who with pictures.

10.   I’m continuing to have problems with Lloyds and my application to have access to the bank accounts. I have submitted a complaint. I am now liaising with a complaints manager, hopefully, this will speed up the application.
